Shane Doan had two goals and an assist to become the all-time points leader in franchise history and help the Arizona Coyotes to a 4-1 win against the Calgary Flames at Gila River Arena on Friday.
Doan tied Dale Hawerchuk’s franchise record of 929 points with a first-period goal and assisted on defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson’s goal at 6:51 of the second period for point No. 930 and the record. Doan also scored during a 4-on-3 advantage in the third period; it was the 123rd power-play goal of his career, moving him past Hawerchuk for another franchise record.
