  1. Nashville definitely could be a contender, last season they were a solid reliable team, Saros struggled, but once he got his game back, he was great. If all pieces perform, yes, they are a contender.

  2. So TBL plan is done. Get rid of Sergi, Stamkos and Jeannot and replace them with JJ Moser, Gunztel and extend Hedman. I don't know if that is a great trade off, especially Sergi for Moser. I really wonder if Sergi leg is not going to hold up so TBL shipped him off

  3. Fun fact: with the exception of the 2012-13 and 2020-21 seasons, Suter has spent his entire career in the Central Division.

  4. Another Left Shot D-Man for the Blues? Confusing! Is there still hope that Krug could be traded?

  5. Vrana said for media in Czech Republic that he most likely sign in Czech league for next season.

  6. As a Bruins fan, I wanted Suter to go to toronto, but him signing with the Blues is good enough, too

  7. Usually when teams have championship asperations from free agency it doesn't turn out good. We'll see with Nashville but this has "Dream Team" written all over it.

  8. Blues openly trying to get younger, bigger, and faster. WTF?
Suter is the 9th defenseman given an NHL contract! Is a trade looming? Or is Armstrong losing his mind?

  9. I won't say Nashville is a contender until I see how the new faces gel with the team's veterans and if Saros can fully return to form.

  10. I've been wondering why some of the 2-way contracts have 3 dollar amounts. For Foudy, you said he'll earn $225,000 in the AHL or $275,000 if he plays the whole season in the AHL. When would he earn the $225,000 rate? In the AHL before or after a stint in the ECHL or NHL?

  11. Emberson is working hard. Good for him. He never really cracked even the second pair in Tucson. Granted there were some good players ahead of him.

  12. Hey can you do a video on the 32 nhl based on playing that city in relation to media and other aspects specific to that market? For example. Florida: low tax and sunny weather. Toronto: Ridiculous amount of media exposure. Montreal: being exposed to the French language. Ect.. could be an interesting video

  13. Suter, the god of being paid not to play will have to do something spectacular in order to get bought out from this one

  14. I’d rather have moser for 3.75 than sergachev for 8.5 not even close. The gap between the two players is much smaller than most people think.

  15. Shannon, enjoy the content but one correction on your comments on Sutter. For performance bonuses, they only carry over to next year's cap if achieved bonuses cause the team to go over the salary cap this year. STL is somewhere around $7 mil under the cap right now (miss you CapFriendly) so unless they eat up the rest of the cap, it won't affect their cap next year.

Interesting fact: 12 NHL teams will have performance bonus overage cap hits this year. EDM, DAL, WAS, LAK, NJD, MON, OTT, NYR, MIN, PHI, BOS, & FLA with EDM being the largest hit (~$3.5m).
