If only parayko knew where the net was when he claps bombs

I’m assuming this only counts the ones on net. Bc pulock misses a lot
t_l_quinner
Wasn’t in a game but Xhekaj registered 107.2 in the habs skills competition

If only Martin Frk could have been an every day NHL-er. Guy had an absolute cannon of a shot.

I knew Hedman was like that, but damn, Darren Raddysh?
Ebs14
Hedman is pretty damn consistent, way up on 100+ and 90+. Ovechkin is terrifying with his accurate shots by the dot. I’m also very impressed with Bouchard climbing that list so quickly- he really emerged this year but wasn’t consistently on PP1 until the Ekholm trade. His extension is going to hurt.

I miss Shea Weber.

Man, I remember Al Iafrate owning this stat. I’m old.

Didn’t hronek shoot like 104 this season
Remarkable_Cod_120
I had the privilege of sitting lower bowl, right in front of Laine when he’s on the power play. It’s absolutely nutty how fast the puck goes from stick to the net. I think that’s lost a bit when you see it on TV.
Dont_Be_A_Dick_OK
I know he wasn’t a star or anything, but I miss Lauzon. Brick shithouse.

So, having a 100+ MPH shot doesn’t seem to be a big advantage, but consistently shooting 90+ MPH is pretty useful.

Wow, I’ve been sleeping on Pulock.

Imagine if Thompson used a stick that wasn’t a foot shorter than typical.

Parayko just refuses to fire one-timers. I think he’s too nice and doesn’t want to hurt his teammates, ha.

Pulock had the heaviest shot I’ve ever seen in the WHL, so it’s nice to see that hasn’t changed
• Broke Jocelyn Thibault’s finger _through the glove specifically designed to catch pucks and protect goalies_ on a slapshot.
• Broke Mike Liut’s mask.
… and perhaps worst of all …
• Ruptured Rich Parent’s testicle
I can’t remember who said it or whether it was of MacInnis or Iafrate, but when asked “what do you do when you see them wind up for a slapshot” the goalie’s response was “hold still and hope they don’t hit you.”

Hey that clapper from Miller came in a devils uniform last year, not the jets!
CaptGinB
Maybe not top 4 but maybe bottom pair and lots of PP blasts.

And them fellas put themselves in front of them shots, the mad lads.

So strange they only made this available 3 years ago when it’s been tracked at the ASG for 30+ years

>LANDOVER — With the song “Wild Thing” blaring through the Capital Centre sound system, Washington Capitals defenseman Al Iafrate skated up to the puck and swung. The official clock registered the speed of his slap shot.
>It read: 101.4 mph.
>“Damn,” said Iafrate, who became the first NHL player to hit a puck over the 100-mph barrier. “I can’t believe it.”
Reminds me of the story about Pulock’s time in Brandon. Coaches wouldn’t let him use real pucks for some drills during practice because they knew he’d hurt guys if they got hit by his slapshots.

Wish Pulock could hit the net more consistently

I knew Tage had a hell of a shot but didn’t realize it was that fast. Bravo.
The_Ineffable_One
Really need to consider Tage on the point in certain game situations (he’s already there on the power play sometimes).

[Does Ryan Pulock have the best slap shot in the NHL?](https://www.reddit.com/r/hockey/s/Qe3Rr1xj9U)
Al MacInnis:
• numerous reports of broken glass/broken boards
• Broke Jocelyn Thibault’s finger _through the glove specifically designed to catch pucks and protect goalies_ on a slapshot.
• Broke Mike Liut’s mask.

Michael Stone doing all that in only 59 games while being the 7D will never not amaze me
