The guy he dropped in on, don't think he liked it, the way the person speared the board out at Col Smith. Terrible, regardless! Could have done some damage. Anyway, Smith was was a top surfer!
These films do not show what he was really capable of.Best big wave tube rider and we were ripped off he only made it to 30 . Mad fisherman and loved life.

My first board was a Morning Star col smith twin fin,swallow tail single flyers..its was awesome..1981
