Kocur randomly doubled his next-highest season point totals in the 1990 season as noted here. Was he playing on a higher line or did he just decide to take it to the hole that year?

Completely unrelated but I’d just like to revisit how fucking awesome [Bob Probert’s 1988](https://i.imgur.com/YlrMZ1E.png) season was.
Not ideal, but you could just brute force look at each game.

Looking at his scoring logs on Hockey-reference.com, I see a lot of his points coming along with Yzerman and Gallant. That doesn’t mean he was always with them, but he saw enough time with them to account for most of his points that season.
totally, Joe Kocur had a pretty wild 1990 season, his linemates had a great chemistry going on, hockey history nerd moment 😂
He was on yzerman’s line to protect him that season
Like others said, Kocur played with Yzerman/Gallant on a number of occasions, but it wasn’t an every game thing.
Kocur had 36 points. Yzerman was in on 21 of them. Yzerman or Gallant were in on 26.
