Raiders fan here, got to say I can’t remember the last time I’ve been this excited for a season.
How can a chargers fan say Telesco ruined the chargers when every year they were supposed to win the Super Bowl and they had injuries, coaching and players blowing playoff games ? Spanos family handlers the cap, no?
The high and low is volatile because if Oconnell has a 95-98 passer rating and 28 tds they can win 11 games. If he plays bad and they trade Davante they might win 4-5.
I love my Raiders friends. Wearing my Rivers jersey twice a year is always fun when kicking it with the boys. Lotta beer and smack talk to end it with a hand shakes and some hugs. It’s a game everyone and the Chargers will win them both this year 😂😂⚡️⚡️

I get why you would think that "our best hope" at QB is Gardner Minshew. But I don't believe that's the case. Inside beat writers believe the Raiders are very high on O'Connell and if I was to bet on it, I think he will beat Minshew in the TC battle. We will see.
Getsy didn't have the weapons in Chicago. The offensive personnel difference between Chicago and Vegas are pretty vast. If I'm a chef with a lot more ingredients, my cookbook will be a lot better. Give me fewer ingredients at a lower quality, the dish served is going to be underwhelming.
Mark Davis chose telesco because he had a lot of experience. He didn’t want to pair a first time head coach with a first time gm. I’m with you tho it was a bit of a head scratcher
Great discussion but dudes, the Raiders QB is not Gardner. While you guys were watching daBears, the Raiders beat the rest of the AFC West with AOC at QB. No one knows if he’s the long term answer, but he’s done nothing to suggest he isn’t. Put AOC in this draft? He’d have been a first rounder. Watch some all 22 film and you’ll see our OC wasn’t the issue. WRs we’re running wide open. Our GM worked under a horrible owner who forced decisions. Newsflash, Dak Prescott isn’t getting paid. He’s horrible!

Justin fields is a terrible qb. Just terrible. Both AOC and Minshew are far better. Not physically obviously, but in every single way it matters for a qb.

I like that he is shaky on telesco but loved his picks and free agents. Also I feel it on AOC. He has some good games and bad games. He's in his prove it year or it's uncle Rico time. Luke getsy is either the next josh McDaniels the coordinator or head coach that calls the plays for us. The offense lives or dies with his decisions. Either way the defense may be built for the playoffs. Pray for health and that the youngins step up. I say 10-7 and we win our first playoff game in a long time. Maybe 2? Go Raiders. Oakland misses you
The addition of Wilkins will enable the Raiders to be much more effective when they stunt and if Malcom Koonce is as good as I think he is their defense will not be fun for anyone to play against. Returning 10 starters should also enable them to be more effective when they do more exotic things if they manage to hold up at CB they should have one of the better defenses in the league.
I thought Telesco did a very good job with their off season although I would have been fine keeping Ziegler who I also liked.
I went to raiders game in Oakland when the chiefs had castle……I will never go to another raider game was completely hostile the moment I was there I'm good different maybe in Vegas not Oakland crap experience

The truth on Gardner signing. According to AP Aiden is the starter and Gardner is the backup. Consider this.
1. AOC last 5 games 9 TD's 1 pick. Hes the starter tell he fails.
2. AOC is the steady starter and Gardner is the relief pitcher. Different approaches against different defenses.
3. Brock Bower Georgia, White Georgia, great defense, solid O line and the National Champs went with a nobody scrambling qb over a 5 star qb ( who was 7-0 and mostly 300 yard games) to run the offense because he fit better in the grind you down guess what we're going to come at you with offense.
Come down to Raiders scheme. When Raiders played Bears, they were twisted in knotts by Getsy's running and scrambling schemes.
Some of the drafting credit should also go to Champ Kelly. He really seems to be a solid personnel guy.
