2:47 I know it's nothing like you'd expect, but Växjö is pronounced Vek-wah.
Edit: 26:20 When the NHL and SHL extended the transfer agreement in 2022 it was increased to 24 years old (used to be 22).
He played in the World Junior Summer Showcase that just wrapped up, and Chris Peters (FloHockey) said this about LSW's game against USA (7-5 Sweden win, though USA wasn't using their top players, most of the roster was players who are on the bubble to make the World Junior team).
"The steadiness of his game and the way he plays is what will always impress me about Sahlin Wallenius's game. He makes it look easy and rarely makes mistakes. I can see him playing an outsized role for Sweden in December given how reliable he is. Sahlin Wallenius is a solid defender and appears to read the game at an expert level. There's not a lot of flash, but he makes pretty impressive plays over the course of the game."
Very nice episode! There were so many picks earlier in round two that I would have liked that were already gone. I kept wanting MG to get more picks 🙂 Why do you think he didn't get more by "weaponizing cap" like taking on a bad contract or something similar? Walman – yes..but I wished for a bit more of that.
