Way too Early TRADE DEADLINE Targets for the Dallas Stars

On today’s episode of Locked On Stars: Joey’s way too early trade deadline targets for the Dallas Stars. The Stars will more than likely be a team that is competing for a Stanley Cup at the end of next season, so why not fast forward and look at potential players the Stars could acquire for a playoff run. Joey picked a variety of defensemen including Ivan Provorov, Jeff Petry, Marcus Pettersson and Adam Larsson. We take a look at each individual player and how likely it would be for the Stars to obtain each one depending on their cap hit and a variety of other factors that will take place throughout the season. We also discuss possible Stars questions with Lian Bichel, Esa Lindell’s new contract and plenty more!

  1. Joey I’m def gonna make it point to watch this whole take today bc it’s everyone’s favorite water cooler topic but let me lay my preemptive strike and say the conversation starts with Rasmus Anderson or Adam Larsson

  2. Gosh, unless Esa has visibly lost a step or intensity this year, i don't want him being replaced by anyone. Fanbase takes him for granted because he makes a little money. As for Lundkvist: I do think he could mature into a reliable NHL defenseman, IF he can get his game together as they are expecting. I believe i saw his fancy stats or whatever were pretty good last year. Better than the eye test. Not sure what Pete is perturbed about, could be a personality clash, who knows?
