I disagree Jack Johnson had a pedigree in boxing that made him into one of boxings great , plus he had the tall , muscular physic needed and he was able to move well in the ring.. it would definitely be a battle , a young Ali could definitely hang but these guys went 20 to 30 rounds in those days if they didn't get a knock out , so they were all conditioned well..

Tell em Cus. Boxing purists acts as if old time boxers were the greatest ever. Most of those guys didnt even know how to punch and move.
Of course they were good for their day but the game has evolved considerably.
