The New York Rangers are one of the better teams in the entire NHL and have been for a few seasons now after making their 2nd Eastern Conference Finals appearance in the last 3 seasons. If quick and Igor are even slightly off their game our defensive unit is going to cause us problems . We can't break out of our zone against the top teams (remember getting pinned in our zone for a whole period vs fla) I'm sorry ruhwedel and Zac jones are not going be enough.
Keys to a successful season (winning a cup), Good health, breakouts from Chytil, Kakko, Key, and Schneider. 79 and 4 become top 5v5 d pair and are great puck movers. Everyone has bounce back years. Igor continues brilliance. We either have Othmann or Berard step in and make our team tougher.
Lifelong 50 year NYR fan. As the team stands TODAY.. this is not a SCF team. Kreider, Panarin and Zibanejad are all a year older and we have seen their best hockey. Hopefully Cuylle continues to develope but as the teams 3rd line LW a I donāt see that as being possible unless Panarin or Kreider gets injured. Hopefully Othmann and Berrard get a shot. NJD look to me as the team to beat in the East.
