Alex DeBrincat fell short of the lofty expectations set upon last season, scoring only 27 goals. But he did manage to excel in other areas. Can he return to 40 goal form this coming season? I’m sure Cat is working on his shot this summer. If half of his post and crossbar strikes went in he would’ve had 40. Call it snakebit or whatever. I’m sure he’s working on his shot and we’ll see better this season.
If Debrincat can't get on and maintain a thirty goal pace Yzerman needs to start trying to ship him out of town. He's paid to score goals not drop gloves.
Started the season with 9 goals in his first 7 games. He scored only 18 goals the remaining 75 games. He's not anywhere close to being a 40+ goal guy. You people are out of your mind.
Kostin, Fabbri and Wallman trades for nothing (Cap space). Why not have Wallman in the third pairing as an off defender. Have 2 def pairings that are really good defensively and let them have top ice time, having Wallman then would have been gold instead of the other duds. Holl, Määttä, Petry, Lagesson all suck in both off and def. Giving roster spaces to Berggren, Söderblom, Mazur, Kasper would be nicer to have than an old Tarasenko that only makes the team slow. 1 slow, non-defensively-playing oldie goldie is enough and that base is covered by Kane. Trey Augustine has looked really good when I seen him. Why is he not signed? And the Draft of Cossa over Wahlstedt is still really annoying.
