I was a fan of Chandler Stephenson on a Caps team that had incredible depth and players likely headed for HOF..not much room on that roster for a younger player. And yet his name was heard shift to shift..not unlike Karlsson in Columbus before 2017.
Players who Vegas noticed and signed. And both flourished.
Very much enjoyed Stephenson’s play here and he was integral to the overall team results culminating in 2023 Cup immortality.
Kraken represents a nice transition for Chandler. He has well earned his generous contract and hockey in Seattle ascending . Fun roster with talented veterans and young guys on their way. All the best! 🥅🏒💦✅

The Stephenson contract is brutal. That being said, I would rather have him at that price than what the Caps traded for with PLD.
He doesn’t have hockey IQ. That’s why he was good with Stone, and not good without him. Stone did the thinking for both of them.

Stephenson's contract was by far the worst FA signing out there. Seattle got fleeced.
