I’m a big Friedman fan. Everything he says is basically gospel and I find him to be very down to earth. That being said, woof does he need Marek to give that show energy.
Nice to hear a Blues centric 32T though. I choose to believe Armstrong did this because he and Bowman hate each other.
* The Blues didn’t think this would work unless they got both Holloway and Broberg to sign the offer sheet; * They were concerned that Edmonton would trade for an RFA that filed for arbitration, opening up a second buyout window for them to potentially clear cap space; * Holloway and Broberg were at the center of potential trade talks during the season for Buchnevich; * The Blues made a run at Martin Necas during the draft, and tried to make a few other deals happen between the draft and the first week of free agency; * The presence of Peter Chiarelli in St Louis, and the absence of Ken Holland (golfing buddy of Doug Armstrong) in Edmonton were contributing factors to submitting this to Edmonton

I was happy to hear they were involved in Necas discussions. He should have been the Blues’ number one target considering his age, ability, and our timeline.

[Friedman says Broberg asked for 1.8 million on a 2 year extension. Oilers offer to Holloway was 1.2 million for 1 year.](https://x.com/kgill39/status/1823760826391781787?s=46&t=Xn0juU2C4hEaElfmeGb4jQ)
some really interesting bits from this:
