  1. Keep both! It is extremely possible. The Blues should not get anyone. They should go pound sand!

  2. Nut up they can sign these players. They can also sign the other players as well. Bouchard will get more than Broberg and Broberg can be traded after next season if he is a problem.

  3. I would definitely match both and trade Nurse. Nurse is a decent D man but nowhere near worth the money he's making.

  4. HAHAHAHAHA and you have BOWMAN running the ship now. LOVE THIS SO MUCH. Not because its the Oilers, its because GM's are too much of a good ol boys club. Use the mechanisms at your disposal to MAKE YOUR TEAM better. Its a team game right? Why arent GM's doing all they can to make their teams better… LOVE IT

  5. Trade Nurse and one of Ceci, Kulak. Keep HollyBerg. Nurse is cooked. Elite competition eats him alive.

  6. Let broberg walk, he’s definitely in it for the money…So let him go get it, and he can make it to the cup finals in 10-15 years…match Holloway

  7. Sign both and keep them in Bakersfield until we can squeeze them under the cap for next season. By the time Kane returns from LTIR the oil may have more injuries to deal with.

  8. Let them walk. Look how far they went with broberg in the minors all year and a black ace first 2 rounds. Contract is way to much. Cya

  9. Let them both go, take the compensation draft picks. Both of them are over-rated. Now that the Oilers have an intelligent coach, this team will gel and win.

  10. We're losing way too many young players with not too many prospects in sight. If they don't win the cup this year, what's the future looking like?

  11. There's no point complaining about this, it's allowed by the leauge and the Oilers have done the exact same thing to other teams. Players are going to try and as get as much money as they can and so they should. I'm sure their agents were talking to teams as soon as their contracts expired.

  12. Nurse has a no trade clause. And you can't trade Kane as he is on ltir. Leave the two to go to the Blues.

  13. Always great to see you, Patrick. There is no end to the emotion and arguably there has not really been a post season. Thanks for always being around, greets from Portugal

  14. Blues fan here. I have a feeling a rivalry is going to start here soon. Are we not friends anymore from this if the Blues get both players or is this just temporarily? Me and my father are thinking of flying to Edmonton for the December 7th game.

  15. Wow, that's pretty crazy about Buchnevich, lol. Blues just screwed us right up the ass with this one. I don't understand why we re-signed Perry at 1.4 and sign guys like JBrown and CCarrick instead of focusing on our younger, better RFAs??

  16. If Broberg did not want to negotiate earlier. And if Boberg asked for a trade earlier… Then he obviously wants out of the organization and we will not be able to retain him after this 2-year contract comes to completion.

I am reluctant to let a solid defenseman go – bu if he does not want to be an Oiler then let him walk. A pity.

  17. I know it would be really hard to keep both. That being said right handed D-men don’t grow on trees…. If they think they have a exceptional one, they should get creative, but what will it cost us down the road? A core piece of the team? Or just guys that are aging out anyway? 1 bad Contract is weighing us down.

  18. Take the deals and bury them in the minors for the year. Have to pay them but don’t count against the cap. Like I said, Holloway would have been on the 4th line anyway. Kane goes on LTIR and you can keep Ceci. Let Holloway and Broberg sit for a year in the minors or let them go. Only options I see for this year.

  19. I'd let both go for 2 major reasons. 1 the price tag is too high on both. 2 teams like Montreal have excess players aka dmen that Edmonton can get 4 cheap. So I think that everyone should relax and realize we can replace broberg and Holliday via trade and get revenge on the blues when they least expect it

  20. Two top lines is set and bottom two will look like jammark Henrique brown. Holloway wouldn’t want to play 4th line if he goes Hamblin will likely take his spot. 4th line will possibly look like Hamblin Ryan perry but let’s see if lavoie and Hamblin can make the roster this year lol just a thought
