Sbisa was drafted and played before Pronger became a Flyer. He was part of the trade that brought Pronger to Philly. He was rushed because the team was impatient.
The Emminger trade is totally a Holmgren trade. He also traded a first for Versteeg. I don't think he ever valued draft picks. In both of these cases, the player didn't even play a full season with the Flyers. How could you give up first round picks and then not even keep the player in question for a season?
