  1. Take it from a Jets fan, Paul Maurice has great insight into the game but his coaching is the reason the Jets are in this situation. Dave Lowry has changed nothing with our team and we are still playing Paul Maurice hockey.

  2. Both Boeser and Pettersson were floating under Green/Benning, sometimes even moping. You can disagree but we all saw it. Both players improved when the old regime was fired. I kind of want those two buddies split up permanently and see if their professionalism improves. I'm with Botchford in that I think with dedication Pettersson could be a superstar commanding 10+m/year, and Boeser's game might improve dramatically too with a change of scenery. That's wonderful they're great friends but I question their chemistry as teammates because they sucked badly for a long time to start the season and it's not just because Pete had a sore wrist.

  3. I still the EP is one of the better players in the league and will break out again. I'd take him on the Avs all day long

  4. He is still to skinny, he is not fast. He is quick, super silky and tons of that good IQ. Back in the Gretzky era he may have had similar numbers if he played in Edmonton. Not sure about this era of hockey. Small guys get hooked they almost stop. You are basically allowed one tug. Enough to slow guys like him. See it every game. Have to tug really hard on big guys. Seen Hughes get basically lifted off his skates, no call. If they can make a few more improvement to give him room to play and protect him better. Not sure if it was the last game or the one before, they went after Hughes after the play. Nothing happened because the other team had four guys who could beat any one on the Canucks even Schenn. Star players have to be protected. In Calgary it is almost suicide to go up front of the net. And every one knows that the refs throw away their whistles as the season closes. The Canucks can not play rough hockey against good teams with speed. Speed kills them as bad as the rough play.

  5. Watching Bure was so exciting..much like oilers fans with McDavid. Every time he picked up the puck with speed you knew he was going to beat 3-4 players and score. Haven't felt that with any other canuck since. Rare commodity

  6. Dude, you have to do something about the gasping for air after every single sentence. It has gotten worse through the years and I can't stop hearing it!

  7. After a full off-season of training, I think he will come back next season being absolutely dominant again.
