  1. Price was alcoholic and on coke. He almost lost everything. His wife told him Change your lifestyle or I leve you with nothing. That's the Faxt. That's why Montreal Canadians organization put him on medical protection program.

  2. Most peope saying no on retiring Price Jersey are stuck in the past when the NHL was a smaller League a lot less teams hand Montreal had a powerhouse team for years and years and they say there's so many great players that don't have their names in the rafters with Stanley cups that said all these players they talk about we're not the best on their team at that time how many times in Cary prices career did he have the Bell center chanting his name and single-handedly one mini games they had no business of winning price never ever played in front of a top-tier team in the Montreal organization but he gave the team a chance to win every single night so yes it should be retired for all this generation fans

  3. No sense in lowering the standards regarding the suggestion of retiring Price's sweater at the Bell Center. Might as well raise other player's sweaters as well just for performing well. Where would it stop.

Keep the tradition that wining Lord Stanley's Cup is what deserves this honor IMO.

  4. Retire price jersey, standout for Habs many years, influence many nhl goalies of today. There is a story on youtube about price influence on hockey.

  5. He may be one of the top ten goalies ever! His teams were mostly average and brought them to respectably! He deserves to be in the rafters!

  6. Thanks Coach…what to do about Price? My only struggle is the number of great players who are not awarded a retired jersey. Generation says yes, history says no…I sat maybe.

  7. Worst 3&4th lines in the NHL, Kent has done NOTHING to fix the bottom end. Blueline is still going to be porous , and the goaltending is still hot garbage at best. Need Logan or Reinbacher to show they can dance in the NHL, then dump Savard off for a decent pick. Team will finish bottom 6 in the NHL, hopefully bottom 3 and draft a franchise forward to play with Demidov. Dach is still a wildcard, if he gets injured again the team will have to move on, he's too fragile for the NHL. Price doesn't deserve a retirement jersey, his reward was 10million a year even when not playing the game. No cup, no jersey in the rafters, that should be the policy

  8. To win the Stanly cup is a team effort. That should not take away from price's game and ability. Yes his # should be sent to the rafters.

  9. At the end of the day, why penalize Price for playing in a an era of the habs with horribly built teams, not 1 PPG player and garbage management teams?

  10. I tend to agree with Brian on this issue as we have discussed on our show last time. For clarification, what Brian said is that to have your number retired you have to have longevity and either Cup(s) to your name or at least many individual awards to your name spread over that period of time. Price has the longevity but no cup and really only had 5 major awards all in one year (2015). Now, while I love Carey Price and everything he accomplished with Montreal, I think he falls short of this criteria as set out by Brian which I agree with. If you allow Price's jersey to be retired then you need to definitely ask yourself why Steve Shutt, John Ferguson, Toe Blake, Chris Chelios, Frank Mahvolich and Jacques Lemaire's numbers are not retired. They had longevity, multiple Cups and awards or accomplishments with Montreal. Price HHOF=yes, Jersey retired = no, ring of honour = yes once he is in HHOF. Good video Coach as usual.

  11. I agree that Price should have his jersey retired with the Canadiens. He earned it. How many players win the Stanley cup? Price is right. He earned the jersey retirement with Montreal.
