literally a one for one trade of Holloway for Podkolzin at this point

Kinda surprised Vancouver took a 4th for him.
He’s a young player with a play style that as history tells us usually doesn’t pan out until the mid 20s, so it’s odd they were good with shipping him out for a 4th rounder especially since he isn’t in line to get paid any time soon with how he has played.
That said, this is a total Stan Bowman move to let Holloway walk.
“He wants money and isn’t one of our core players? Meh, fuck em.”
Podkolzin is a fine replacement, which I will say for Edmonton is a major relief considering you guys are apparently getting early 2010s Stan Bowman and not mid 2010s Stan Bowman. He’s not gonna kill the team just yet.

This is… probably a good swap for them (Holloway out, Podkolzin in). A better defensive player who hits a lot and they move up a round in the draft.
