Predators Add Finn Teen Eeli Tolvanen to NHL Points Leader

The Nashville Predators have added an offensive player just in time for the playoffs. Forward Eeli Tolvanen of Finland, the 30th pick overall last June, has signed his entry-level contract adding him to the NHL’s top team. General manager David Poile announced that the immigration and other paperwork had been completed with Tolvanen’s agent in Nashville to finalize the details. With 36 points, he set the KHL scoring record for an 18-year-old. Poile says adding Tolvanen adds to the Predators’ depth heading into the playoffs. Coach Peter Laviolette says they think his skills will translate to the NHL.
