See this hockey highlight of Los Angeles Kings defenseman Alec Martinez in 2014 when he threw a shot at the net from the point that skipped by Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford for the OT winner.
This happened in game 7 of the 2014 Stanley Cup Western Conference Final that propelled the Kings to the Stanley Cup Final against the New York Rangers.
Los Angeles went on to beat the New York Rangers four games to one in the Stanley Cup Final. Had the Blackhawks won that decisive game versus the Kings, they probably would have prevailed over the Rangers.
The Chicago Blackhawks signed Alec Martinez to a one-year deal during the 2024 free agent frenzy.

He also scored the Stanley Cup Winning Goal. Jazz Hands. One of the best Celly’s of all time.
I remember this. A group of us were in my buddy’s apartment rooting for the hawks and it was the buzz-kill of the year.
Don’t remind me. That memory is buried deep in the back of my mind with the 2019 Blues.
