Blackhawks Trade Schmaltz to Coyotes for Strome and Perlini

That’s two Strome trades in roughly a week’s time. I think Arizona got the best player and thus I give them an edge in this one.

  1. I know Dylan Strome is a good player, but OMG that is a bad Trade for Chicago. Schmaltz is FANTASTIC!

  2. Dylan Strome is 21 years old, plus if he plays with Kane at some point, I think it can provide him much needed expertise. Peeps need to calm down.

  3. All 3 of these guys are busts.
Strome is a chip off the old block, he belongs on a 4th line in the AHL with his brother Ryan. In the strongest draft ever Arizona fucked up big time.

Perlini is someone who could have a couple decent seasons if playing with a top playmaker.

Schmaultz is like a 3rd line center.

Having said that Domi and turres both came into their own after a change of scenery so here's to hoping I'm wrong.

  4. You have to love what you do; with who you do, and where you do it with. Catfish or Rainbow trout? The jury is out. The right chemistry and fit: Bowman is rolling the dice on this! Change is the spice of life. This trade going to be Dy-na-mite!

  5. Stan was in AZ on Friday, so we kinda figured there was a trade coming. As a Chicago fan I can tell why they wanted Schmaltz out. I’m at practice all the time for the hawks, and both last season and this season I was never happy with him. (Talk about a player who needs a serious attitude adjustment.) I think Chicago won this trade with the chemistry that DeBrincat and Strome already have; its only a matter of time before Strome is centering Debrincat and Kane.

  6. By dealing Schmaltz the Blackhawks will have $17M in cap space this summer. I’d say the deal is just about even, honestly. Schmaltz isn’t that special of a player and Strome still has time to realize his potential (playing with Kane and DeBrincat will help). It’s a good deal for both teams and the players involved.
