Now we have threats on two lines.
Suzuki caufield and Slaf was one of the best 5 on 5 in the league. Having Laine will make the other lines dangerous and will make the power play WAY better. You just had to shut down the first line to cripple the attack of the Canadiens.
Kovalev was great but near then end of his career, with Laine, the sky is the limit!!
It is a bit mysterious what happened in Columbus, seems like bad blood within the team… Not many teams had the cap space to take Laine. The Habs have a great team spirit and look to the future. It makes total sense for a guy who is looking for a new beginning. Plus the prospect of mentoring young players brings purpose to his career. I hope that everything goes well for Laine and that he will be open to extending his contract past the two years. 🤞
Honestly Lego I'm freaking out a bit on this, because I am one of those Jets fans who really wanted him back, and I know what might happen here, in terms of this working out really well for the Habs – but yeah, good for them.
This dude is gonna crush the Leafs all year.
I think that Laine is a shoo-in for 30+ goals and 65-70 points this season. His career average is for around 35-32-68 per 82 games played, so I don’t think those numbers are unrealistic, assuming he plays 75+ games this year.
Lego the Habs are the best Hockey market! We have the most seats sold every game! We have the most cups.. we’d have all the best players if it wasn’t for our taxes..

Could you find a worse image to use of Laine. He looks like he’s dying and weighs 125 lbs in that interview he would have a hard time in the PWHL if he shows up to camp looking like that.
