  1. I will reserve my judgement until I see him play 10 games for Montreal. He comes with a lot of baggage and Montreal fans are tough if you don't produce.
I still don't think Montreal will make the playoffs just because they are in the toughest division in the NHL.

MSL is offensive minded and I think the best strategy is to let loose when it comes to offense just to build up the confidence of the players on the team.
Sam & Primeau will have to be at their best in the first 10 games.
They have to unlock a power play, get an offensive defense and get the top 6 working well together.
It should be interesting and entertaining this year.

  2. I am happy with the chance HAbS are taking

But, I am left with a question : why is it that the HABS cannot trade for a “no controversy” offensive star??

It is undeniable that Laine has a lot of controversy.

Why can the HABS never seem to get a top sniper ?

Or maybe that is coming too?

  3. dont forget guys now we have a real competition Laine Vs Mattews
cause jets and colombus he could not do that but with montreal he is at the best place to do it

  4. Yeah Josh! Ça sent la coupe! Naaa! Seriously to be honest, I'm thinking about a realistic fact. If Dach Newhook, and now Laine are playing AY LEAST 60 games each, maybe ça sentira pas la coupe, but, ça sent les séries!!!

  5. I know we have a first line from last year but I would like to see slaf, suz, and laine, with goalfield on the 2nd line. Gives 22 a few less matchups

  6. Wow if I would of hoped any D go the other way it's Harris..I know he's young but I worried every time he was out there .. anyway I wish him well but yeah I'm happy..now if course Laine is pretty weak defensively I know but the offence will help greatly and more points for Suzuki, caufield

  7. Let's not forget this is gonna be a really high 2nd round pick wich could be traded to go up in the draft with 2 1st already..

  8. Thank you Mr Harris, a player I really liked on the Habs! There was simply not enough space for everyone. Wish him all the best in Columbus!

Edit: Oh, and welcome to Montreal Mr Laine!

  9. I see alot of people doubtful that Laine can bounce back…

Listen, Montreal can sometimes do alot for players that have gone down the wrong path. And it's not just the organization, the history, the team… Nowadays the Canadiens have another factor that can help with restoring careers: the Marty factor!

What happened with Laine is that he lost himself. He IS very talented, we saw it from the moment he entered the NHL. A good player like that doesn't just become bad for no reason at 27 years old! He got lost. He's built himself a shell to hide into.

What Martin St-Louis does best is he breaks that shell and finds the human behind it. Once he finds the man, the rest is history; the man finds the player again!

  10. Laine will love Montreal. Progressive management MSL a coach who has been top player and understands the nuances of the game and everyone has RESPECT. If Laine can’t make it here then his career is over. We know his talent he is in 2 years one of our oldest players and has the chance to go from supposedly toxic to top 3 and mentor for our prospects. KH kills me he turned a 7th D into a top 3 and a 2nd to boot. Now we start trading we now have even more assets get McGroerty Get Kiliyev. A team with prospects as good as ours and maybe only Roy NHL ready means our prospects have time to season up time to get rid of our older players and time is on our side. KH knows it is a gamble but one with limited risk. Now if we get McGroerty and Kiliyev we have unless we hit only Roy and Hage have a chance of even making this team. Don’t think KH is done but still want a low draft this year. Let’s move players all over to get the right lines for 25/26. This year experiment then Demi comes over and we are so deep in talent that anyone that doesn’t pan out we have options.

  11. With our D we use everything we have to move up in draft and try for Schaefer. Trade Matheson and go after high end D in UFA or trade. Love Matheson but will lose to UFA as he will want long term

  12. I read this so many times, 4-5 articles maybe, before I realized WE got the draft pick? Couldn’t believe it. Love Harris, sad he’s gone, but for this? Be well friend. Go Habs.

  13. I am not thrilled by this trade but I am happy for Jordan Harris because I think he can spread his wings. I really like the guy and selfishly would like him to stick around so that he can be plugged in wherever we need him. But he only was on 2 year contract And I'm sure he saw the writing on the wall and that would impact the next negotiation. Really happy we got what's going to be a good second round pick but would have preferred to see Trudeau or Engstrom go or Columbus retaining 1.5 to keep them below Nick Suzuki. Perfect scenario is he scores 25 this year and signs for a extension at a team friendly rate before he settles into a 30-ish goal typical season. It's been a long time since he's been a 40-goal score but if he puts up a point again at least it will keep people from discussing the lack of scores and recent Canadiens history. But if he were long-term I'd be really excited about that second line which makes the third line look even better.

  14. Wishing Jordan Harris the best of luck. Now let's see what Patrick shows up on the ice. I firmly believe giving people a second choice. Up to him know …to prove he is worthy of the Habs fan love.

  15. Laine has something to prove. I'm really hoping oce he hears and feels the crowd cheering him on. It's really going to motivate him! Plus, we have a great room. They guys believe in one another!
That's really going to help him.

  16. Good video. What a trade. Habs got Laine. I'm a Leafs fan and it makes the opener that much more interesting. Go Leafs

  17. YYEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! Also great show guys!!!!!!!!!😀😃😄😁😂🙃😊😇💪💪💪👍👍👍👍👏👏👏

  18. Really hard to build the bottom 6 without having Anderson and Gallagher on the 4th line. Add Dvorak and yo uhave to most expensive 4th line in the league hehe. Laine = BIG W

  19. Got a good feeling about this. 🙂 October 10th will be very, very interesting (if the gods let me live). 🙂

  20. Harris for Laine? That’s like to trade a raccoon for grizzly. Laine just needs to throw out his hidden demons.
