Chicago Blackhawks legend Jonathan Toews enjoying “unofficial retirement” | CHGO Blackhawks Podcast

It appears former Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews is more than happy to be enjoying his time away from hockey — or “unofficial retirement” — after posting yet another series of surfing photos to his Instagram page. Jay Zawaski and Mario Tirabassi react to number 19’s latest life update in this clip from the CHGO Blackhawks Podcast.

  1. My idea of a hot date now involves microwaving popcorn and streaming a rom-com. Sometimes, you just need more laughter than moaning🍭

  2. an instant HOF and best team captain ever ? strongly disagree He was a very good player on some great teams many of us Blackhawks fans can be biased and emotional because of the team success but Stan Mikta who played over 20 years for the blackhawks is the teams all time leading scorer and is in the HOF and a cup winner, should not be dissmised also Towes production was fairly average about 22 goals and 54 points a season on average is no where near a lock for HOF to be clear I am a fan of his and he was a important player here but a lot of very good players don't get in just don't see him as a lock
glad he is enjoying his retirement

  3. Well said and I 100% agree. What does he need to prove? I'm just happy the guy is healthy and living well. I don't need an update for him playing hockey but just want to know how he's doing in life. Much love to tazer.
