NHL.com sent me a counterfeit jersey

I’m pretty irate right now. Just happened to be browsing the NHL.com shop Monday and found a single size 52 Barkov Primegreen Adidas in stock and immediately snagged it. Then I got this thing in the mail today. Jersey just feels and looks cheap. I did a quick glance online and compared some real Primegreens and there are dead giveaways.

-stitching through the adidas logo/size on inside collar
-horrible stitch jobs and loose threads
-poor quality NHL logo on front collar
-missing Primegreen logo on back collar behind NHL logo
-stitching through back adidas logo
-poor quality fight strap

Am I off base here or is this a knock off? I’m pretty blown away this happened, anyone ever see this before?

I don’t know if it’s real or fake but that Adidas badge in the back looks terrible. I have the same Panthers jersey and it’s all clean with no connecting threads like that

It’s a knock-off. The retail tag for primegreens is on a plastic tag instead of the recycled string. The nhl shield is poorly stitched. The biggest giveaway is the fight strap as it should be a white rectangle and not that what barely covers the strap itself.

Looks like someone bought one, and returned a replica. Quality control at nhl shop and fanatics is atrocious. Return for a full refund

  4. I’m not sure how a counterfeit would make its way into their supply chain, it was 100% ordered from nhl.com and not an accidental typo of their url or something similar? Or possibly followed a link that looked legit, but wasn’t? Double check the from address on any email confirmation or log into nhl.com to 100% confirm. If so, raise hell.

People were just discussing how there is no harm in counterfeits, as it “supposedly” only effects the billion dollar companies… It doesn’t. This is one of the many reasons why counterfeits are bad. Whatever Scumbag returned this, now leaves a fan with the headache of returning the fake. An uninformed fan may have even kept this thinking it was the real thing.

Is it that easy to buy a real one and mail back a fake for a full refund? That seems idiotic on their part to not pay some attention to what’s coming back
