Columbus trip was just a horrible for Laine. First of all, he just didn’t fit in the game style at all. Secondly they put him play center, the least defensive guy who never played center when adult. Third, he was a wreck after personal stuff. I think Montreal will be good plce for him and he already knows Canadian press and enthusiasm.
Laine's dad died. Played on another continent. Speak another language. Mental got health problems.
But he asked for help. He played with Scheifele and Wheeler(…) He played for Columbus.(…) He got help. He got married. He did start a mental health community. He want to smile again with a fresh start.
Marty, Kent, Jeff and co are the fresh start. Montreal's locker room is definitely the right place for him. Slaf, Cole, Nick are better leaders than what he got in Winnipeg and Columbus.
