Not so sure about that. Broberg is being grossly overpaid based on a handful of good games. Holloway has no finish to his game. Wouldn’t have minded keeping them but not at those prices. Trades will come later in the season.
Holloways extra million this year might cost him millions in the future. Hes not going to be on McDavids or Dreiseitls wing at times. His statline and what he could have learned playing/ practicing with those two is in fact worth millions…..plural. Broberg has played 20some games in the NHL. He might be great, he might be a healthy scratch. Time will tell i guess.
Nobody is talking about how the Oilers now have a ton of picks and are under the cap now. They can shop huge at the deadline and more than replace both.
