  1. I will be the first to eat crow cause I never thought he would be traded here. Mainly due to his character. But I must admit that Highes was masterful in this trade. For holding to the whole salary, Hughes even got a pick out of it. The thing is, if Laine is not great, that is fine, we is only here for 2 years then off the books. I guess this was the consolation proze ofr not getting Marchesseault.

  2. 6'5" Laine 6'4" Dach 6'4" Slafkovsky. Some good weight and skills on the top 6.

We havent seen this in forever with the Habs

  3. CALLED IT!!! In a Habs discord server just after the season ended, I said in my opinion the Habs will trade for a forward before the season starts, Laine and Necas were the guys I said the Habs would likely go after, And I also said Jordan Harris would be the guy the Habs moved… I really got lucky I guess predicting this one, But I didn’t think it would be this cheap… I just looked at the Habs and the main guy I always came back to was Harris… I absolutely love this guy as a hockey player, But he didn’t fit with us long term he’s also an RFA coming up after this season so I felt he was gonna be the guy if a deal was going to get done….

Laine Welcome to Montreal!! When I watched his little zoom meeting I said “Dannmm this guy is going to blow fans away”… He said all the right things and i believe he truly means what he said… Also fans think Laine is this injury riddled guy lmao, but that’s not really the case… he’s played 73 games his first season and Winnipeg held him out for a couple games he wasn’t hurt that season, Then he played 82, 82, 68, then he gets traded but the season was cancelled so he played all the games he was suppose
To, he plays 56 games in 21-22 which was the shortened season because of Covid and he was a PPG 56 in 56, Then he plays 55 games 22-23 and that’s where he gets hurt, He plays this past season gets hurt one more
Time then goes into the player assistance program… Guys only been hurt like Twice in his career, There is no issues in my opinion with his health, Hockey players get injured this is a rough sport, Laine will get back on track, This trade will look insane, And I also believe there is a good chance we have Laine for the next 6-7 years… I think Laine will work out and Hughes will get him signed for 4 or 5 years which will keep em with us for a total of 6-7 years… This trade was a masterclass and digging deep into it, I believe this will work out and become a massive steal, It could be one of the best trades in Habs history in my opinion….

  4. Telling you here boyz, Suzuki/Caufield/Demidov 1st line. Dach/Slaf/Laine 2nd line. It's the one/two/three line. 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall picks. The sick podcast made it up. Monster line!

  5. Holy fuck, anderson with patrik is diabolical. Anderson passes the puck like a hot potato. Hes a third line player making 2nd line money. Too bad, keep him on the 3rd. Hes can put his head down and rush the net just as well on the third as he can on the 2nd, or 1st line.

  6. Also Suzukis contract will hopefully be broken tbh …. if we get a good enough player. Also the cap is increasing, and will continue to increase. I'd be looking at it more as percentage of cap used rather than a stationary number. By the time demidov is ready to extend off of ELC and he isn't making more than Suzuki, he's not the player we're hoping he'll be, or Mr fleece works his magic again.. but if he's as good as we hope, he will be making 8 plus, EASY.
