  1. Deputy chairman is such a funny title. The whole point of the chairman position is it designates it’s a part time job. Why would he need a deputy.

  2. At times it might be hard and annoying listening to Simon, but IMHO most of the time he is correct. But not when it comes to West Ham and Moyes, remember "carefull what you wish for" well Simon sometimes in the real world wishes come true. COYI

  3. It was obvious the way we tailed off in the 2nd half of last season with a squad decimated by injuries that major surgery was needed. Bloom is a wise man.. we had money to spend from previous two seasons and it’s been reinvested. Still within the ffp rules. How Chelsea keep cooking the books I don’t know!

  4. our club is cooking now and try to build up a stronger but balanced squad, like every position has 2 competitive players or 3. Proud of Barber and the staff

  5. Should've kept De Zerbi and invested this money. De Zerbi had the chops to take them to the next level, but selling McAllister and Caicedo without properly replacing them made his season hard. March, Mitoma and Pelvis (who were balling under De Zerbi) got injured so that didn't help. Not counting out the new manager though

  6. Over spending , strenghing same positions and sign players with the same profiles !!
    Gruda and minteh !
    RΓΌtter and Oriley !!

  7. Basically Paul Barber said that when it is a very competitive market to buy Brighton sell but when it is a depressed market with little competition they buy. Classic buy low sell high strategy.

  8. yeah sure, Bolton were bankrolled by a rich guy for years until he passed away then it all stopped. Brighton are just a rich guys toy

  9. Paul speaks so well. I love how well the club is going. Lots of games last year. I expected us to get out of the groups and finish 8-12th. Now, no European ties and stronger team, I think we will challenge the top 7-8. We have good profit we need to use, so we are spending it.

  10. Simon Jordan: Why are Brighton spending so much money?

Paul Barbar: Unlike little Palace, Brighton has ambition and goals to achieve.

  11. I go to Brighton often, living in East Sussex. They are such a massive club locally. Their new stadium outlet designs are amazing but I’d love to see them adapt their stadium to allow for the home fans to be more involved and more intimidating, think a blue and white Kop.
