However, there's no need for that type of play and sure it's the playoffs, but there's still a line of what's legal and what's not. Hartman has no business cross-checking Smith in the face when the game is out of reach; Hartman's a good player but he's a pest and he's young so I think he'll learn his lesson if he tries that on a guy like McLeod.
Deserves to be suspended after that but with Calvert only getting one game he probably won't get anything. As a hawks fan I hope he does or gets benched by Quenneville because everyone on the ice besides Hossa weren't even trying, bring in some guys who want an opportunity and will actually fight for it.

As a huge Blackhawks fan Hartman should have gotten suspended Because that's a dirty play and player was down and to the head and losing 5-0 with not much time left in the game no reason to do that.
NHL should have a rule that if you get a game misconduct in the last 10 minutes of a game you are automatically suspended for the next. Cheap shots in garbage time are penalized harsh enough.
