My new tinfoil hat theory on the McG situation is that his friends chirped the hell out of him for getting drafted to Winnipeg and he couldn’t handle it so forced his way out.

McGroarty took everyone for a big ride Jets and Jets adjacent.
Media from 3 different Winnipeg outlets followed him around with Michigan late in their season. A couple and Jets TV did full profiles on him and his family which his parents were actively involved in.
IMO this is way worse than Gauthier who at least had the balls to say “I’m not signing” there.
