Some MotoGP riders according to Casey Stoner, “are often faster than they should be.”
Stoner says, some of the top MotoGP riders couldn’t have achieved today’s level success without traction control.

Stoner has been a vocal critic of the MotoGP’s current technology.
Some riders’ performance has improved as a result of traction control, which has decreased highsides and increased safety, according to Stoner.

  1. What are your thoughts, is it true that the riders are not as good as the era of Casey Stoner?
Let us know in the comments down below ⬇️

  2. Era hermoso ver a Casey derrapando en las curvas, habilidad heredada del Dirt Track, y el poseía una sensibilidad única en su muñeca y mano para saber cuando y cuanto debía acelerar o desacelerar sin necesidad de controles electrónicos.

  3. They are all great Riders some greater than others, however greatly appreciated by me Frank South Africa I am 67 and ride a Harley ❤🎉

  4. Its been proven time and time again if you don't use it (riding
skill) you lose it ,very simple what needs to happen is KISS keep it simple stupid ❤ MotoGP

  5. I remember way back comments about Honda ignoring Dani's advice for the developement of the bike and focusing on Marc only thus creating a bike that only he could ride and eventualy he couldnt either. Really sad to think that brutal bike basically retired Lorenzo.

  6. It's true, the six world titles in MotoGP were a mere result of chance. Just like Moto2. Only Anglo-Saxons are real pilots.

  7. Is there any rider that does not train these days with a supermotard or dirtbikes with 0 aids? I don´t think so.
The sport has become more about the machine than the rider and that is not a good thing in my opinion. However, it still takes a lot of skills to ride faster than the next guy and to adapt to whichever bike someone has made under the rules that are there for everyone.
Of course if the rules were different maybe the grid and the results would shuffle but, in my opinion, riders and results need to be appreciated for "what they are" and not for "what they would be if".

  8. How could todays riders hold a candle to the likes of Doohan or Stoner when todays bikes have a bunch of rider aids? Rider aids are fine for amateur riders but Moto GP riders are meant to be the best of the best.

  9. Thats because the traction control back then was wired between the seat and the helmet. The helmet mounted CPU controlled the power between the gloves and elbow. Its unfortunately foreign to many Motogp fans to understand this concept.

  10. Okay someone like Casey gets a vote but the opinions of all the mortals among us? Well much like something else we all have they dont hold any real weight and mostly just there to spew shat out.

  11. No one would argue that cultural conditions, market forces & improved technology have helped certain individuals to excel & be celebrated – but without doubt there’s always been exceptional, brave & talented individuals using unmatched abilities to push the boundaries in the field throughout history.
Was Pedrosa better than Márquez? They competed together a few years ago with the SAME equipment & the results show Marc was quicker. In ‘07 Stoner showed his ability no question, but that Ducati was WAY faster Rossi’s Yamaha, or any other bike for that matter & who won the championship that year? Mr Stoner has already proved his own point 17yrs ago. Talent was everywhere but technology assured the trophy.

  12. Just like in chess, they now discovering all possible moves cause of Artificial Intelligence resulting to mostly stalemate on games which makes it boring.

  13. Electronics is why we won’t see superbike riders coming into GP. The only way to be competitive in GP is to come through GP3 and GP2. Superbikes are too raw to too to make a successful transition to GP in a single season.

  14. STONER is just trying to stretch his career some is all. These are just the rantings of a short angry little man that is annoyed regarding his decision to finish up. 😂😂😆

  15. Your question is flawed. Skill is relative, it’s clear that Bagnaia and others have the skill necessary to ride the motorcycles they’re on.

  16. Ironic given that he benefitted greatly from TCS – the electronics when he was winning were adaptive, they learnt the track how the rider rode. It was WAY more advanced back then!

  17. i might be in the minority but i seriously think if you put marquez on a 1990 nsr500 he wouldn’t be able to finish half a race. stoner is right, the bikes nowadays are all computer.

  18. At many more braking points the riders have less chance to overtake. This equals less entertainment.

  19. That's why I respect old school riders more. No assistant from any damn gadget. Just raw skill, experience and knowledge. That's what make a true respectful rider to look up to.
