hello im a new fan and can someone help me understand what’s the meaning of these numbers below the team names? thank you. and why is the schedules called scores? thank u!
the numbers you see are the teams’ records, in the format of wins-losses-overtime losses. this corresponds to earned points (2 for a win, 0 for a loss, 1 for an overtime loss), which is what the standings are based on.
as far as it being called “scores” not “schedule” that’s just an NHL app thing. it’ll show the scores of the games being played on that day, and could just as easily be called “schedule,” but I guess to the app developers, “scores” was the better word to use
