Might be the best crossover yet. Tons of info, tons of laughs, and some great insights on the upcoming season. It’s a shame about Asky, but I think this is the best move for him and the Preds. I hope that number 1 pick is going to be a blockbuster!
The thing I've always said about Askarov is he's volatile. He's a rollercoaster ride, and he might have some really high highs…but he's probably going to have some really low lows too.
And considering Trotz's nature and the history of the Preds and their goaltenders, I think they like to have more stability and consistency. Even taking Saros out of the equation, I don't know that Askarov would have been a good fit for the organization.
