Canucks player grid | Best player (All-time, Day 3)

Continuing on with Day 3, best Canucks player of all time. I’m gonna keep this one short and sweet, my vote goes for Pavel Bure

Day 1: Jyrki Lumme (HM: Salo, Edler)
Day 2: David Booth (HM: Krutov, Messier, Limden)

  1. The answer has to be Henrik imo.

You could argue Bure, but Henrik’s longevity wins out.

Henrik, because he doesn’t get on the list otherwise. Play, combined with leadership, combined with legacy makes him the best.

Bure. Clips do not do the man justice, when he hit the ice the crowd always was buzzing.

But I do think its a coinflip between him and Henrik and neither is wrong. One is a prolific goalscorer with so many highlight reels goals and the other was regarded as one of the best passers in the game with amazing vision.

Why did everyone hate David Booth in that last thread? Haha

I think Bure is the best.

People forget that the sedins were completely average when they joined the league. Bure was a All Star his first shift until injuries took a toll.

  6. Actual best player: Henrik

Best relative to peers at the time he played: Bure

No love for Tony Tanti? yes, Bure was the best.

“Best” is defined in so many ways. Best player on ice, definitely Bure. Best player all around, in the value he brings to the team including points, leading by example, etc – that’d be Hank.

  9. JugglerTrav

Henrik. Bure had more skill, but best overall is 100% Henrik

  10. Ron2Laxing

Pavel Bure may not be my all time favourite but he was the best.

Bure. I live the twins, but Bure was a level above them, elite as they were.

  12. Comprehensive_Rent76

Quinn Hughes. Early in his career, but will go down as the greatest player to ever put on a Canucks uniform

How tf did Booth win “most overrated”? Who praises Booth? Everyone I’ve talked to acknowledge he was a huge disappointment and injuries derailed his career, along with a low hockey IQ.

  14. LindensBloodyJersey

It has to be Pavel. Obviously just my opinion but I have never been more excited by any other Canuck.

    Oiler fan here….I’m voting!

    ***Linden.***

He may not have been the best at anything, but he’s the type of player every team absolutely needs to make any impact. Dude gave his all to the Canucks and Vancouver. Had the blue-collar work ethic that took his talent from *good* to *great*.

I know others have better stats, but Linden is still my favorite all-time Canuck. Odjick a close second. Fucking love Gino (RIP)

  16. How was Loui Ericsson not the most overrated of all time on the nucks?

  17. Successful-Plan114

Hank and Danny. They’re twins so how could tell who was who?

  18. I think people are also missing who was more clutch. Pavel had another level in him.

    Stats during Cup Run:

    |Henrik Sedin|25|3|19|22|
    |Pavel Bure|24|16|15|31|

Huge difference in stats in their respective Canucks Stanley Cup Finals:

    |Henrik Sedin|7|1|0|1|
    |Pavel Bure|7|3|5|8|
