Nashville won't take back another goalie in a trade.
The devils are in similar situation to what the sabres were facing in terms of cap structure. I kind of think of mercer's situation is sort of similar with that of Casey mittelstadt. A decent young forward capable of 2nd 3rd line center playing on a young team with locked down 1st and 2nd line centers. The devils would be wise to keep him. However if nemec and luke are going to get numbers like dahlin and powers. It's going to make it hard to keep mercer longer than a bridge deal.
They only have about 4.5 mil in space
Why hasnt Media ask Fitzy about no getting mercer signed, NJ media is soft and bad. Why do we want everyone on the Devils? whats next we gonna pursue the next guy who asks for a trade or is on the block? stop it
Luke has to really step up. Still young and the experience will come down the road. He is gonna get paid but don't over pay. Most D take longer to develop. See what this season bring and see what he has earned himself.
