Jordan Greenway goes to the top line with Tage and Skinner

Sneaky Joe loves the lineup changes Don Granato is making ahead of Thursday’s matchup with the Stars, featuring Jordan Greenway on the top line, and Jack Quinn with Dylan Cozens and Casey Mittelstadt. Joe makes the case that Greenway is the best replacement for Alex Tuch, for what he does away for the puck, and Quinn will bury the chances Cozens and Mittelstadt create for him.

  1. Well, Greenway can't say he didn't get a shot at it. He needs to show a lot more effort, and make himself a force in front of the net. Not exactly his forte.

  2. They should just remove the kicking part of the rule all together because kicking is already covered by the previous part of the Disallowed Goals rule:

"When the puck has been directed, batted or thrown into the net by an

attacking player other than with a stick. When this occurs, if it is

deemed to be done deliberately, then the decision shall be NO

GOAL. A goal cannot be scored when the puck has been deliberately

batted with any part of the attacking player’s body into the net."

This obviously includes any and all body parts you can kick with, and obviously includes everything that has a "distinct kicking motion". The existence of the next part of the rule "When the puck has been kicked using a distinct kicking motion." just seem to confuse some referees into thinking that is the only type of disallowed goal a player can make with their body. They should just condense these 2 parts of the rule into: "When the attacking player deliberately directs the puck into the net with anything other than their stick, it shall be ruled NO GOAL.". Removes the duplication and makes it short enough for them all to read.

  3. Jack Quinn isn’t fast buddy, he is a great talent but his skating is not even close to Tuch and Peterka…Quinn even said at training camp he needs to work on his skating. I watched Quinn live all last year for Amerks. I’ve seen Messier, Gartner, Coffey, play live, I know what fast and smooth skating is

  4. With his size zero hits last game says A LOT. I mean, well, we need some grit and balls. We have enough pretty skaters and finesse to add to the frillies of what the nhl has become.

  5. You know the goaltending situation is bad when you're happy your goaltenders "only" allowed 3 goals per game for 2 games 😂
