All appears to be quiet when it comes to the Toronto Maple Leafs free agents, which still need to be solved. Mike DiStefano and David Morassutti discuss the latest report from TSN’s Chris Johnston about Nick Robertson not appearing to change his desire to be traded from the Leafs and the standstill that continues. Mike and Dave then move on to the report about Jani Hakanpaa who apparently never signed a deal but also insists that he can play with his knee injury. If the Leafs are not able to get the deal signed with Hakanpaa what are their options on defence? They look at the internal options and if there are free agents Toronto could consider bringing in ahead of training camp.

get rid of Robertson.
Nick Robertson has a real high opinion of himself, if I were him I would stfu, train hard at camp, and score as many goals as I possibly can during this season. He's already playing for one of the best teams in the league ffs.
The problem with having a good enough defensemen waiting in the wings… IS iF they're good enough they want to play!!! Then you have the SAME situation that you have with Robertson
They need to find another Rempe, and then reach him to play D. 😊
They could sign Bortuzzo,or Tinordi as depth
