    It definitely was a good decision but time will tell if the rebuild was successful. We still don’t know how good the Demidov, Reinbacher, Hutson and co will be

    I don’t make a habit of thanking billionaires, but Molson really deserves a lot of credit for allowing a down to the studs rebuild. This team is so popular and has such a strong fan base, he could easily have coasted on another decade of mediocrity and made the same amount – maybe even a little more – money. I’m glad he’s showing a commitment to quality. Even if we don’t win a Cup out of this, we’ve got an era of fun, sunshiney hockey to watch.

  6. Have you noticed they’re still advertising tickets for the rookie showcase which are $10 each? The attention just isn’t the same and they’ve probably taken a big monetary hit which the league is probably not happy with since one of their 3 cash cows isn’t giving as much milk. Next summer will be the telling one if the season disappoints.
