Congrats to Dave Bolland for winning worst player yesterday. Your contributions to the Panthers will never be forgotten.
Today's category is most potential. Defining this one may be tough, the player could've lived up to the potential. As usual it's completely up to your interpretation.

I’m going Jay Bouwmeester.
Billed as the next Bobby Orr, smooth skating, offensive defenseman. Basically what Cale Makar is now, is what I thought Jbo would be. I can’t recall a single highlight he ever had, but still turned out to be a fine player and won a cup with St Louis. Can’t say he completely wasted his potential (save those guys for tomorrow)
Lots of reasonable potential answers but I’m going with Michael Frolik. 45 points in 79 games as a rookie. Similarly strong second year. Lots of tantalizing plays. He seemed like, if he followed what would later become a Barkov/Huby like trajectory, he could become a point per game player.
It’d be nice if this list had the names associated with the images, for people that don’t have photographic memory of every player’s face
I remember a ton of hype around Michael Frolik. He’s got my vote.
Has to be Frolik or Olesz
Jacob Markstrom was supposed to be our future
Seems like most replies are taking this as “most hyped” …I take it as who do we have right now that can be a star in the future. I’d say Lundell
Lundell for current, for all time im gonna say ekblad had insane hype
I was a firm believer in Nick Bjugstad’s talent. 6’6, great hands and excellent speed for his size, and Minnesota’s Mr. Hockey coming out of high school. He led the team in points during that lockout shortened season. Afterwards got back surgery in the offseason and unfortunately never came back the same player or managed to stay healthy. Wonder what could’ve been if he had better luck on the health side of things. Absolutely loved watching him before the injuries even though it was short lived.

Booth, Duclair, Borgström, Tippett, McCann, bujkstesd, Fleischmann, Hunt, Smith, Riley Stillman. Some of these guys had great potential but had shit training/managment in the 2010s
Anton lundell can be better than barkov since in a perfect world since apperentice surpasses the master
Feels like cats are league leaders in this category.

I’m interpreting this as the player with the most current potential. I would say Lundell
Quinten Howden. I thought his speed was going to be a game changer.
