This video was recorded by my older brother who is Pens fan. We were there with a friend of mine who was a long time coworker who is also a Penguins fan. And then there’s me, reacting to Johnnys OT goal in memorable fashion.
I am in tears. My heart is shattered. It all just seems like a nightmare. Johnny was one of my favorite players ever and I looked up to him a lot. When he chose us (Columbus) I was beyond thrilled. A certified stud in the National Hockey League choosing the 614? It was a dream.
Throughout the worlds tears and mine, heartache and disbelief, I want to send condolences on behalf of ALL of us in the 5th Line to the Gaudreau family, friends and everyone in between.
Rest in peace to Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew Gaudreau. 💙

Up here in Maine, supporting my Jackets and I am just at a loss of words.
I was in the arena for this and it is my favorite memory of a game. He will be sorely missed.
Once I’m done mourning the loss on a human level, there is going to be a whole world of loss on a fan level to process.

Penguins fan here but I always loved watching Johnny Hockey. My condolences to all of Blue Jackets Nation. Hockey lost a tremendous player and person. 🙏
