Should the Sabres go to black and red full-time?
Tage Thompson went on a podcast recently and said the Sabres should wear black and red on a full-time basis. Should they? Sneaky Joe actually would like to see the Sabres leave their uniforms as is, representing each era of Sabres hockey.
However, could they increase the rate of black and red? Plus, the Sabres national TV schedule is out, and there’s still no news on Peyton Krebs.

Yes!! Love the Black
Blue and gold are our colors. The black and red uniforms suck. It’s one of those lame 90-00’s cheap shopping mall cartoon logos. The Yankees aren’t changing their logo or colors.
Since so many fans seem to want Black jerseys, though I know this would never happen, I would love to at least see a jersey that is: Black, but where the Red and Silver are, replace those with Blue and Gold stripes and use the original style Logo instead of the Goat.
I think the Sabres Blue and Gold would actually look pretty sweet on a black jersey. Just not the red, silver and goat. Those DO NOT say “Buffalo Sabres”!

I loved the home whites from the 70's… and the home darks from the Goats… (and I will never like Detroit for moving the league to reverse the home unis from White to the darks…) anything but the slugs really.. though the goat in Blue I can pass on too.
just turned 22 today. not much memory of the goathead. i remember miller in pominville in blue and gold. overall i prefer blue and gold 100% but also gotta keep the goathead for a good 10-20games a year.

Im 40 and remember the day they unveiled the Red and black.. my dad took my sister to see it and not me …… but i love the goat head red and black !!!! But if it aint broke dont fix it and Blue and gold is not broke
I love the goat head because I was born in 91 and grew up with it but the original is so nice you can't beat it. I'd like it if they did half and half. Some away games in the goat head would be cool too with the white jersey

best era of hockey for the sabres was the 90s and still the best era for buffalo sports although that may change but I liked those uniforms they fell in line with times and I would love to see them play more often in them now especially if they start getting good again

When I was a kid, I thought it was weird that a tiny Buffalo was about to be cut in half by a pair of giant scissors. Then the Red and Black jersey came out and having an angry Buffalo on the jersey made more sense. If the Ducks can get their old logo back, so should we (as a permanent logo with the classic being a throwback for like 12 games a year).
Blue and gold are the sabres colors. Their current logo is the best in the NHL. Yes, the goat heads look good, but they're not better than their current jerseys. Plus, the blue matches the Bills blue as well.

I would go back to black and red in a heartbeat and make the blue and gold as the third. The blue and gold just represents the failure of the last 13 years more than it does the 70s and 80s teams at this point
I love the red and black but it's great just to bring out as an alternate.

I guess it's time to explore trade returns for Tage. Sorry, not sorry. I became a fan as a kid with the traditional logo in the French Connection Stanley Cup days. My father kept unplugging the TV to use the saw while he was remodeling the living room while I was trying to watch the game. Later he became a fan, lol. Oh, and I watch basically every game and have for years since they've been available on cable/satellite. Actually the Sabres and Bills are the only thing I watch on TV at all and I watch their games on my PC. Take care Tage.
