Until the bruins re-sign swayman, or get a CRAZY trade in return for him, i will no longer be a bruins fan until Don Sweeney hands in his resignation!! Just terrible decision after terrible decision from him(outside of the coyle and lindholm trades imo), i couldnt imagine the position we'd be in if it wasn't for bergy, marchy and pasta sticking around over the years, especially after the failed 2014 draft
Boston completely blundered the Swayman negotiations. They went from negotiating with a 1b goalie (3-5M range) to a starter (7-10M). He also has the potential to Campbell out, if he can't handle the extra work load.
I think goaltenders are way too volatile to be asking sums like 10 million. Personally, I don' think there's a single goalie in the league worth that much.

…right back to the question: how much to spend on the goalie position? Is that not the same logic that was used to send Linus to OTT? If ya could get it done with Bussi and Korpi, would ya? (OTT fans must love that one, BUT…goalies improve in the BOS system. Linus won a Vezina!) Methinks the best solution is a decent goalie tandem where one gets hot in the playoffs. Swayman was not THE answer over the past two seasons. He was good, but not Tim Thomas. And at $10M, which costs them a good forward, that's not good enough. How good would Swayman be in OTT or Anaheim? Check ALL of his stats. The Hockey Guy did recently. Consider finding that video and watching it.

You clearly haven't seen a second of Mackenzie Blackwood last season (fist of all you think Vanecek will be the starter). Dude played unreal for the worst team and defence of the modern era. I doubt even Igor would have much better stats on that team.
Why do the Leafs want Robertson, he's garbage in the bottom six and he's hyper fringe in the top six.
He can't crack a playoff lineup because he's beyond awful defensively, he's just a goal suck and he's not even mid at it.
Knowing the Leafs they’re probably overvaluing Robertson’s value which is keeping him here.
I'm so happy the Sens got rid of Korpi and picked up Ullmark. Even if Ullmark doesn't re-sign it's a win for the Sens to dump Korpi (yes, even with retaining $1M per year on Korpi's contract). Thanks Boston!
