Ryan Poehling #11 – 2017-2018 Season Highlights

Ryan Poehling – the Canadiens first round pick in 2017 – had a fantastic season. The 19-year-old centre doubled his previous career-high in goals with 14 and nearly tripled in assists with 17. All-in-all, he had 31 points in 36 games, while anchoring St. Cloud State University’s top line. Not only is Poehling a tremendous playmaker, he has plus defensive awareness and a knack for stealing the puck.

  1. His vision and playmaking ability is off the charts. He's able to thread that puck across the ice to put it into perfect positions for shooters. Future habs PP quarterback

  2. This guy has instivite hockey sense. He comes off as someone who really understands the fundematals of hockey and how to put the little things together to form a bigger picture. Will be an NHLer for sure. Another gifted playmaker down the middle for Montreal, and if this guy continually gets quicker and stronger over his next two years at St.Cloud I don’t see any reason why he doesn’t jump into Montreal’s line up right away.

  3. future is bright for that young men, playmaking ability just crazy, hard working player, can do everything on the ice… he look like a great person too, smart kid… Timmins and Bergevin did well on this one…and Jake Evans 🙂 they just signed Vejdemo today, after Alain and Verbeek… + a REALLY good draft coming up for MTL 🙂 a lot of money to spend at UFA day….he can turn the franchise in one summer and he will 🙂

    thanks for the video

  4. Damn he seems so much ahead of the plays. Seems to possess great hockey IQ. Hope he keeps developing into a 1st or 2nd line center for the habs.

  5. I think this guy is really underrated. He's got all the tools to succeed as a center in the NHL. Not to mention his leadership qualities and character. He could potentially develop into a top 6 center for the Habs which would be amazing. I dunno, I just have a really good feeling about him

  6. This guy is very underrated in my mind. He can be a amazing top 6 center for Habs.

    Kotkaniemi – Poehling – Olofsson… i like that!

  7. And they will find away to waste his talent as they have done many others because the habs are complete garbage
