  1. Can't believe their is still idiots thinking Carolina will be relevant next season we go through this every year they suck.

  2. I don't understand how they have a terrible start to the year last season and miss the playoffs by 1 point, but now suddenly everyone thinks they're 7th in the metro

  3. imagine losing your franchise player. i'm a ranger fan, i personally can't stand this team and i rather him leave, but their fans don't deserve this mess of a franchise. it's being ran into the ground. i hope they sign JT and get a new arena. stay competitive, etc. no cup though lol

  4. As a Rangers fan, it sucks that the Isles are moving out of NY to Hartford probably to go to their arena. Sucks that a Contender got run into the ground into a team that will get a lottery pick. Sucks that they ruined a Franchise player in Taveras that will most likely not resign there

  5. The only people who know the islanders are making the playoffs are islanders fans because they actually KNOW about their team. We had the 2nd best record ever since we fired Capuano, Doug Weight was a great coach for us. We have Ho Sang playing full year along with Pulock and Barzal. And don't forget Beauvillier. These 4 rookies will be the key on why we make the playoffs and you people are brain dead if you think the islanders are coming in last in the division.

  6. If Tavares can get re-signed at the start of the season, then we will have a greater chance to make the playoffs. We've already got loaded talents from veterans and prospects that I believe can bring potential to the isles bench. And when JT does get signed long term, that will enhance pressure against all the other teams in the metro.

  7. These guys have legit no idea what they are talking about. The isles will surpass everybody's expectations and make the playoffs

  8. Again, horrible prediction, Islanders will be better than Carolina defintley, hell they might be better than the Rangers even maybe but idk about that yet we'll have to see where they end up but I think the Islanders are defintley improving upon last season, with Doug Weight in, Ho-Sangs sophomore season, and Eberele coming in brings a lot of excitement for the team, I think the rookies are defintley going to step up I think the biggest question is Tavares tho because this contract situation may cause him to play lightly and not play to his full potential, that being said there is still a lot to be excited for so i think the Isalnders could sneak in a wild card spot possibly if they really work towards it

  9. The Islanders Will make the playoffs this upcoming season. I am pretty sure about that, but please SIGN TAVARES NOW!!!

  10. – The Isles only missed the playoffs last year by a single point & actually had the exact same record as the Predators, who stormed through the Western conference playoffs in the spring. I dunno if the Islanders are a guaranteed playoff team but I think they will battle to get into the playoffs probably. But they'll probably need at least a couple teams in front of them to fall off, & really, that goes without saying anyway. The big story will be the Tavares situation; if he re-signs long-term to stay with the Isles than all is well, but…if not…

  11. The loss of Hamonic will hurt the blue line although it depends on if some of their younger d-men in the system are able to step it up (pulock especially). I think they will finish in the 4th to 5th area of the division. maybe as high as 3rd if the Rangers and the Capitals have problems because of their offseason moves. I wouldn't, however, be surprised to see them finish as low as 7th given how tough the division is currently.

  12. 1) Penguins
    2) Blue Jackets
    3) Rangers
    4) Carolina (assuming Darling ends up being starter material)
    5) Capital (Tee time will be the day after the regular season ends, their defense will probably take big steps back with the loss of Alzner. I can't see them making the playoffs given what they lost and given their prospect depth compared to other teams in the division)
    6) Islanders (could change places with 4 or 5 but keeping pucks out of their net has been an ongoing problem which might not improve with the loss of a top 4 defensive defenseman)
    7) Flyers ( I'm not confident in their goalies right now)
    8) Devils (Hischier looks promising but it's a really competitive division and the team has problems in many areas still)

  13. Pittsburgh, Washington, Columbus and New York are all interchangeble at the top four of the division. Crooklyn, Philly and Carolina are all interchangeble for the next three spots and could probably kill eachother for the remainimg Wild Card unless the Senators or Bruins snag it up. And then there's Jersey.
