Honestly wouldn’t be against giving a PTO to a guy like Zadina, my guy still young, could be a decent bottom 6 player, but I would rather have a more experienced guy on try out like Tyler Johnson or JVR, they had ok seasons last year
We got Lane and Ivan. OMG!!!
As to Lane, I think he's smart enough to make the NHL. Either way, if the Habs want him to be his best, who cares where he plays this year?
Hopefully, Laine has changed and won’t find new people to have conflicts with in Montreal.
Hutson is still just a brilliant prospect…he needs to be nurtured. The Habs have many options for building his game out to being more than a power play dude. Zadina is a low cost risk…but the Habs are becoming a serious team…role players must deliver. They need to get Demidov and his family to North America ASAP, out of Russia’s hyper corrupt society. Team Putin is real and a compromat situation for hockey stars.
I think Laine can get between 35-40 goals this coming season…. and 50 next year after DemiGOD arrives.
If we can dodge in injury bug this years…wildcard at least.
If the boys drink that quebec water and become brittle…. we could still be a lottery team. Which CANNOT HAPPEN!!!!
We need games 74-84 to matter this year!…. that is all I ask.
I really feel that Frodo is too small for defence. Move him up to the wing in spring training. We have a shit ton of beef on our back end…. Convince Frodo the best way for us to win is with him being a forward, with maybe some point time on the PP.
We can send him to the AHL to get extra wing time if necessary thisa year.

who cares about what the ahl coach thinks of Laine… only in Montreal would this matter… not everyone needs to get along anyways.

Zadina probably doesn't make a whole lot of sense unless it was a two way and he's starting in Laval. He's a good low risk pickup that COULD turn into something.. He'd probably do really well in the AHL and get a lot of PP time. interesting but not a game changer by any means.. just another rehab project.
Were on the right path and zadina is not on our path. No!!

They made a great pick with Demigod
Then made a great trade with Laine
Then make a great explanation that they want Hutson to develop properly
So they are batting .1000 and think they can't do no wrong.
Zadina is a turd you can't take a turd and try to gold plate it and think it's not a turd. It's still a turd, stay away from this one to many young prospects should get ice time over a turd.

I have a feeling that Laine finally getting to play for a team (and market) like Montreal will be just the environment that his EGO has been craving for all these years. I can see Big Things coming from him [the comparison to Alexei Kovalev is not that far off , especially if Juraj Slafkovsky could be his Tomas Plekanec] in this upcoming season. And if not. Montreal still got a CBJ 2nd round draft pick for Harris. A Win Win scenario , no matter how you look at it. 🙂
Did I not say (not necessarily here) about two weeks ago , that SKA would love to have their hand prints all over Demidov's introduction to the majors – "Imagine being the starting point for the next Ovechkin or Malkin , what KHL team would not want this." – or something to that effect. The good news is, the KHL season ends way before the NHL's does , so expect to see Demidov wearing the bleu, blanc et rouge some time around the end of March or early April.
