I think it goes without saying that Fin is my favourite NHL mascot, and the favourite mascot of many Canucks fans far and wide. Since 2001, he's brought a lot of joy and energy to this team, and he's definitely part of what made me a fan when I was a kid.
However, it wasn't until this video by icethetics that I learned he wasn't the first mascot of the Vancouver Canucks! Much to my surprise, Prankster Bear was the first, only lasting the 1990/91 season.
Unfortunately, the video / photo evidence of him is pretty much non existent. I've found two very short videos (both posted to this subreddit), some vintage plush toys of him being sold, and that's it.
Does anyone have stories / photos / videos of prankster bear they'd be comfortable sharing to this subreddit if they have any? Fin will always be the fan fav, but I think it's time the documentation of Prankster Bear improved, and more people learned of his role in Vancouver's mascot history.
