NHL player Johnny Gaudreau, who starred over eight seasons with the Calgary Flames before joining the Columbus Blue Jackets, was killed Thursday night when he was hit by a car while riding a bicycle in his home state of New Jersey. No matter if he left or not, he solidified himself as a true piece of hockey history in Calgary. Through ups and downs, he was a key part of our core for 9 straight years, becoming one of the cities favorite personalities. It's honestly devastating, and I truly hope that the flames, as an organization, retire #13 in his honor.
