Mike Bossy. One of the most dominant goal scorers of all time and best player on a team that won 4 Cups in a row.

I refuse to answer. The majority of these guys have a real argument to win. My personal bias is Lidstrom and Bure.
Plastic_Brick_1060
Lidstrom. No one was more valuable
Malleus55TX
Ooof that’s a good one, but I’m going Brodeur
Arfguy
I’ll go Marcel Dionne.

Yzerman or Lidstrom. Yzerman had the bad luck of playing when Gretzky and Lemieux were in their prime.

There’s a massive argument for this entire list. Bossy Lidstrom Yzerman Bourque Brodeur…guys like Dionne Iginla Bure. A lot of these names were crucial to their teams success. And some the only star on their team. And most played same era agaisnt guys like Gretzky, Lemiuex etc. tough

Yzerman or Lidstrom. Both created a decade long dynasty

Lidsrom looks scary in that photo

The forward bias inherent to the Hart trophy kinda fouls up the question, so many D and G qualify for this
Makar will likely never win one given it
If anything changes the way people vote it should be that
Lady-Aurorah
Yzerman or Lidstrom. They were incredible!
Just were unlucky to be playing at same time as Gretzky and Lemieux.

I’ll choose lidstrom over Yzerman in this one. A near technically perfect defenseman is more valuable than a power forward

Probably Marcel. Being in L.A he was overlooked. Him and hawerchuk are probably the most underrated players to ever play.

1989 Yzerman had 65 goals and 155 points. Thats a Hart in every year when Gretzky and Lemieux aren’t making history.

Lidstrom. Look at all the seasons he played. to play at that high a level for that long and never win MPV…maybe its just bad luck because he played for Red Wings team loaded with talent.
shmoove_cwiminal
Yzerman. Detroit had no one else in the 80s. One man show. Most points ever by someone not named Wayne or Mario.
justmoderateenough
Lidstrom. All the Norris’ were the voters reasons for not giving him a Hart too.
