Typical team fan. Lego, The Wings are ONE of your favourite teams. From listening to you over the last year or so I'm guessing they're one of 30 or thereabouts. I myself am a Canucks fan. PERIOD. END OF STORY. But, I digress…my point is, fans generally overrate their own teams players. You have done that here.
i re-watched the detroit game in vancouver and although they lost 4-1 he looked pretty good. 2 of the goals he was left high and dry by defensive gaffs.
The writer does have no idea what hes talking about. In no world does Yzerman make this trade.
Best case scenario for the wings, all 3 goalies are solid, Lyon and Husso play around 30 games each with Talbot plays 20. Campbell is Cossas mentor in the AHL.
Also who knows how Hussos health will be during the season.
Honestly, it makes sense if lankienin wants too much. Red wings have extra goalies canucks need a serviceable 3rd string goalie. His numbers say he's average but his teams poor deffence left him out to dry for half the season
As a Wings fan I would absolutely HATE getting rid of Lyon, but we have so many goalies, with Cossa and Augustine coming up in the next few years too, and it looks like we need to make a little more space to sign Raymond and Seider ;; I'd take a trade if we can get a decent D-man or depth center on the condition that VAN takes Justin Holl as well š

Talks should be about the Wings giving up Husso, not Lyon who carried the Wings pretty close to the playoffs. Husso needs to go. Lyon is too good of a back up or he can even start as the Wings' 1A minder. And the Wings are paying him less than a $1 mil a year!!! Enough said already.

Also, no way Lyon moves for a 4th, Lyon is a good goalie. Wings need Talbot and Lyon. Hussoās going to have to prove heās healthy and can play. I love Husso but heās going to have to stay healthy.

I seriously doubt that Steve Yzerman is trading Alex Lyon, We can trade Ville Husso at 50% retained for a 2026 7th round pick if need be. I don't see Lyon going anywhere when he only is making 1 x $900.000 Husso will be the odd man out if need by not Lyon.
